Bench racing
99 sentra SE-L

19psi drag run last year.
power @ 5500 290whp
power @ 7500 397whp
avg whp ~345

1/4 mile 13.3 @ 114-115mph ~2.38 60'

25psi drag run.
power @ 5500 410whp
power @ 7500 440whp
avg whp ~425

1/4 mile 13.3 @ ~125mph (?) 60'

What kind of difference you guys think I would see in the 1/4 mile with slicks and a 1.9 60'? Bench racing at its finest.

Race Calculator

This site says a 115mph trap in a 2800lb car would be about 337whp.

Acceleration Calculators

This site says a 3000lb car with 345whp will run about 11.9 @ 114mph.
with 420whp 11.2 @ 122mph.
with 475whp 10.77 @ 126mph.

Goal is to trap over 125mph on slicks this year and run a 11.4 or better. I will hopefully be making over 500whp with the fresh motor. Even if I only make 465whp, what do you think is a reasonable time/goal I should shoot for?

I'm trying to get my car down to 1800lbs and make 350whp. The calculator says 10.04 for that. I could probably make closer to 400whp also.
Drop some weight off your ride.

Yeah I've played w that calculator before for fun. You must not have noticed that it says flywheel hp. But it seemed pretty accurate for me if I just ignored the crank hp and assumed it was whp.

i think the car should have no prob with an 11.2 to 11.4 with around a 127 to 130 mph trap

The fastest nissan in Utah was a 240sx running 11.4. I know I can beat that. That is my goal. Have the fastest Nissan in Utah if even for one day. But it will be a 4 door. And FWD. That gives me 50 cool points.

I haven't weighed the car yet, but I don't know what a SE-L would run at. My wife's B14 w/o sunroof, GA, Auto, with spare trans in the trunk was just over 2500lbs.

I bet the SEL weighs 2800 or so.

I'm always getting crap from my friends who run 10s that my car will never run a good time because my head is stock, or my tune is a base map, yada yada. I would love to shut them up once and for all. It could be tough.

To get where I want I am going to need some good slicks that fit on SEL wheels and will handle the power without hitting the suspension. Anyone have ideas there?

Keep in mind those calculators are more geared towards rwd cars as well that pull great 60's and have good traction. To pull at 10.0 @126mph is impossible for a fwd car unless you hit the brakes at the end haha.

damn you jesus! lol. I don't think my car will be ready by the 30th. I am going to have it running by then hopefully, but I need pistons first.

you better lemme know when you do. A GT42r should put down massive power.

I could have my car up and running in two days. Just need all the parts to make it happen.
