Above 300whp especially up there your gonna start spinning the smaller slicks through 1st and 2nd gear, above 400whp possibly even 3rd gear as well so a 24.5X8-9X13-15 will do just right, many people run them with no problems at all.

Im gonna be around 500whp or so and im gonna give my 22" slicks a shot just to see what happens and how they grip. Again rev limiter launches, just like before. It was actually pretty good, For not heating them up like a nice 2nd gear burnout they spun just a tad off the launch then ripped through 1st very quickly, 1.71 for my first time out is not bad on them, i feel i could have gotten a low 1.6 had i done a nice 2nd gear burnout to really heat them up. And that was beating out some of the awd cars off the line.

your gonna make 500 hp with what, that t28? haha, had to man. but its good to hear everybodys advice. i AMOST picked em up. so now im looking for slicks.

lol no, 35r, the t28 was sold a long time ago, ive since had a ve motor in there. just havent updated my sig yet,

This will be on a fully built block, s4 cams, o2 manifold, protech equal length, 35r and 44mm wastegate. Should be more than enough, lol

lol hell yeah, gonna set it to 8k at first and see how the power band is while dynoing, if its still gonna pull further than that which i think it is with the cams i will go with an msd digital 6 to raise the limiter to probably 8800-9k, ill have the bc springs and retainers and rocker arm stoppers as well as the rr hydaulic lifters so i think the valvetrain will be good to go to that range as long as the turbo makes power up there. Also should help by staying in the gears longer.

I run on 22" m/t slicks on 15" b14 stocks just fine, I see no reason for any clearance problems as long as your slicks are not too tall. How much power are you making?

Car makes 340+whp. I dont want anything to big that will break everything, a little spin isnt bad..lol Just curious if anyone uses b13 stockers for slicks i have a spare set of those..

I would lean toward the 24.5" slicks. B13 wheels should be fine.

i was making up around 375whp on 17psi, and i was using a set of 22in slicks from a friend, and it seemed to me i was shifting before the 60ft cause the were to short, and i was in the top of fourth gear in the end of the track, i would get something like the 23x8 on 23x8.5 from m&h

in a continuation, anybody have brand preferences? i just dont know much about the whole "slicks" thing, and dont want to spend a bunch of money on the wrong thing. car will be making anywhere from 300-400 hp this season. just waiting on parts, so i cant say for sure. got like 3 diffrent turbos to chose from.
