I know the tune has a lil left on the table. Andy, the ac is coming out lol. It doesn't work anymore anyway. Compressor took a dump so it will be coming out very soon.

There is no beating the DET for price. But the VE was in there already and I wanted more power. So I said, eh, why not build something nobody has really experimented with. I wish I weren't the pig though because I no longer have any money to experiment. The VE has a ton of power throughout, but it is no doubt being held back by the setup. I feel these stock VET cams are small, but they don't seem to be what's holding her back.

The manifold seems to be the restriction right now. I have a few tweaks coming that should make more power all around. VE hates backpressure!

I may be taking the car to the track again. I will do better next time.
I have datalogs of the tune, and it seems to be a pretty decent tune. Not pushed to the edge, but safe.

Coheed I agree with NISMO and SE-RICAN altough you had traction problems and the 60 ft was not that great your mph should have been higher. So with some more tuning and you know practice makes perfect you should get the times you are looking for.

I am 100% positive that slicks will result in a higher mph. Normally this isn't the case and mph stays the same, but I have talked to a few of my friends and they say that with the way the gearing is setup up and the way I spun tires throughout the 1/8th I will gain a few mph as well as dropping the et with some slicks. I was wondering why my trap speeds were the same on 15psi as 20psi even though there is a 60whp difference. I could at least go full throttle in 2nd on low boost. On 20psi I couldn't go half throttle without blowing the tires up.

I know the car is capable of a lot more than I can do as a driver. I am getting better, but I just don't have the track experience to put out a good time. I am chalking this time up to bad driver lol. One of you guys wanna come up here? I'll let you bring some slicks and you can put down a much much better number. Seriously.

My buddy raced me in his camaro. 505 big block full roller conversion. He puts down over 480whp all motor and was doing a 100 shot of nitrous and his trap speeds were only 114 as well. He only did a 11.9 @114 when we raced. So my question is what can I do to improve mph? How much does a full interior SEL weigh? Carfreak240 trapped 118 in his nx, does this have to do with weight? Gearing? The p11 tranny sucks for gearing. 4th will pull me to 140mph where the stock tranny would max out at 120 or so. Could this be killing me?

I have some plans for the car here very soon to help in this area. I didn't want to make the car a drag car but it is simple and fun.

Here's what is coming.
My AGX hyperco suspension is goin on.
New clutch with light flywheel
Removing the AC compressor and condensor etc...
SLICKS!

A stock C6 ZO6 puts 440whp down and traps 125+, why is it I pull on one from a roll but my trap sucks so bad?

...and there was this twin turbo c6 zo6 doing 12s there at 128 or so...

Any ideas???

Coheed if you check out MR200SX 13.1 @115 you can make some comparison its right below your thread in the dragstrip forum. I think your getting excessive wheelspin on boost giving you the low mph, when MR200(JORGE)
did his run he spun 1st 2ND AND DID NOT HOOK UNTIL THE TOP OF 3RD. Things to keep in mind he was running on drag radials your on street, your also making more hp/tq than he is get some slicks and your times will fall

2nd gear burnouts in the water on slicks... Let the car pull u out. Tire pressures depend on the track/environment around you. launch the car at a high RPM at low boost levels(13-15psi) then ride the track out from 2nd gear on at high boost levels. If the slicks are warmed up enough you shouldnt spin after 2nd gear and the 11-10 sec times will be in your future. And it also depends on the weight of your car/driver, and your setup/tune.

I cut a 1.7 60" in my b14 with a 115mph trap & pulled a 12.01. Definetly get the slicks warmed up, it should break your neck coming out the hole.

I agree slicks will net you a higher MPH. My run b4 slicks was a 13.3 @ 110.

Hey, look at my build

I'm pulling 2.9 and 3.3 second 60' times, and trapping 108 with no traction until 4th on street tires. You're doing fine Throw some drag radials on it, or some full out slicks (I can get really good prices on LENSO wheels and MH slicks), and go balls out.

I have verified by the way, that Lenso 13 x 7.5 wheels clear NX2000 calipers with powerslot rotors. there's about 1/2" clearance from the caliper to the wheel, and 2" clearance from the tire to the strut. 24.5x8x13 tires.

^^^ true, but the Ve was already swapped and I wanted to be different. There isn't a GTIR around here that will come close to this one. Hell, no De will come close unless it has more weight reduction and a bigger turbo.

Much better times coming very soon. I wanna hit 12s on street tires.
