Thread: 11.10@131.4mph at Dragstrip

Good stuff, ESPECIALLY considering elevation and temperatures! Easy 10 second car at lower elevations, even with the same temps. My car was OK here in El Paso, but taking it to CT completely changed the way it ran, no tuning done. Put the car at about 300hp here in EP, and about 350hp in CT, all things equal on the car.

well from what i read, the elevation there is not that bad, its something like 1100 ft above sea level. But the stats i found from that night i went the the air because of temp and humidity and all the other factors was equal to that of being at 4500 ft above sea level.

Now in the winter time that track gets very very cool because its out in the middle of nowhere surrounded by green fields and stuff. But in the summer it makes it all the worse. Yeah it was a pretty nasty night out and i really didnt even want to go but we were having a big forum meet over there so i wanted the chance to get to meet some people and in the end im very happy that i chose to go. The guy with the evo is easily one of the coolest guys ive met. He is from australia and has that sick accent. But yeah it was an awesome meet even though everyone was running slower than they normally do because of the heat and bad track prep.

So how long before you make another trip to the track?

probably october when it cools down. Id say first weekend where it will be in the 60's at the track ill be hitting it up on some brand new m/t 24.5X9X13's. I might have my intake manifold by then as well and be up around the 550whp mark so i think a low 10 is in order, haha

Why the wait? I'm just curious. It'll be a while before I make another trip myself as they are finally making me wear a helmet lol. At this point though I need to get another big bottle of nitrous, a helmet, and a bigger set of slicks.

because here in southwest arizona it does not even start to get cool until october or so, haha. I dont feel like running again when its still 90 deg out at 11 oclock at night. no thanks, haha Id rather have the perfect conditions to run than just go waste my time

lol, what the hell have you been up to. Whats up with your turbo beast, I heard you wanted to do a VE+T so is that going through or not. What was up with the motor in the car? Just wanted something different or what.

Anyways yeah ive been staying pretty busy. Craploads of side work lately and still have more to come.

what up!!! yea the motor is shot it started blowing out smoke through the breather a few days after racing a cammed ls1 T/A.well its in cali taken apart i was gonna get the ve but i just started a new job closer to home and been really busy, too much overtime.. well i hope to bring her back by the end of the year and finish her up.. but to tell u the truth i dont know what to put in there.. if u can help me out lol! all i want is 300-350hp.. well if i see ya around we'll have a chat to get her back on the streets..
