Balljoint replacement
Whats up guys I am putting on new balljoints onmy 200sx and have ran into a little problem. I removed the old balljoint and went and picked up a replacement from autozone and the thing just sits in there loosely. I have read a few other posts about maybe having to get it tackwelded in. Is this true.Any help wouldd be great.thank u

I didn't think the balljoint was replaceable. I bought new control arms when I had to replace mine. =/

I've replaced them on the b13 and you can def replace them... I've never done a b14 before.

You have to press the new ones in. If they are loose than they gave you the wrong ones. I replaced mine (B14) with moogs with no issues.

I used the autozone brand... I will see if I can find the box w/ the part no.
I also rented their press... it sucked but it worked to press them in/out.

I used autozone ones on my B14 once. I had to press them in. It was a pain. If it's just sitting loosely then it's not the right part.

You can also just wack it in with a BFH. I just replaed my whole control arm , and i'm glad i did because the bushings were rotted all to hell. Anyway, if you remove the clamp holding it in, you can wack it out, then take the new one and pound it in.

The tool makes it easier, but with brute force you should be able to get the new one in.

I replaced my whole arm because the old one was the original ( my B13 is a 91 ) , and the bushings were horrible.

I took the whole control arm out and replaced both bushings and the ball joint.
