Squealing and I'm losing my mind.
I have had it up to HERE with this stupid sentra.
I've replaced all 4 struts, rotors, brakes, one rear caliper, end links, swaybar bushings, tie rods, ball joints, and bearings, all within the past week and a bit.
Now, here's where the bearings have been tricky, and I need some advice.
The bearings are sealed units. I got both hubs into the bearings, and there is no play in the bearings, HOWEVER, the one bearing separated when I was pressing the hub in (dont ask)' but not all the way, just a half inch or so. I pressed it all together properly once I saw the separation, and nothing fell on the ground or got dirty at all.
Buttoned it all up and took it for the 'bedding' the brakes process.
I'm getting the squealing sounds from the front. The squealing comes at any speed, is sometimes variable, sometimes not, but under 10kph it is very noticeable. Doesn't make a difference if I'm braking or not, the sound remains the same. I jacked up the car and turned the wheel in neutral, and there's no sound coming from the wheel, no matter how quick I try to turn it by hand.
thoughts?
Any help would be appreciated.
