Thread: Roller Rocker question

Hi all,

I've been attempting to find an answer to this question for a while now through search, but haven't been able to come up with a complete answer. I know that a USDM RR SR20DE can be swapped into a B14, but I can't seem to find what would be involved in the swap. Would I be able to use the current B14 harness and ECU, or would I need need to get one from a P11/B15?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as the motor on the car catastrophically failed over the weekend. Thanks in advance.

Use the intake manifold from the B14 or other non-RR SR20 in the USDM (and those associated sensors) and it will be plug and play.

Use the SR20DE RR block and head and everything else off of your B14 will make it a plug & play affair.

as you read above, strip your roller rocker down to the long block, use b14 intake manifold water pipes valve cover sensors harness ecu, after that people wont even believe you have a roller rocker! enjoy your smooth running motor

Also the RR oil filter is in a bad spot for the power steering hose. You need to cut a notch in the power steering hose holder thing or you swap the filter housing from your b14 one.. I did the swap by myself not too long ago, straight forward.. Where are you located? I have my old one for sale (Went VE) for cheap WITH the b14 intake mani
