2000 SE roller motor with stock ecu

How much can I do to the motor on a rebuild while still using the factory ecu? I would imagine the tolerances are pretty narrow, so bigger pistons and/or higher compression... Out of the question?

You can do external stuff and a mild cam. A lot can be gained with a tuned ECU, even on a stock motor. It would be a good investment.

I agree on the tuned ecu, but no one is tuning the 2k SE ecu. I don't want to have to swap and hack the harness for that. I've done all the bolt ons and S3r cams already. Maybe I should just go on a diet.

Save up for a ecu tuned for your car, your missing out on a good portion of you hp gains if not.
