RR Drop in Valve Springs?
Been searching for this one for a bit, I want to raise my RR redline from 6700 to at least 7000. The RR valves are slightly shorter then DE ones, thus DE springs don't seem like will work.

Options are VE springs, but those are dual valve springs thus retainers would be needed too. What I'm leaning towards is JDM RR ones, since it seems like JDM RR's can be reved to 7k rpm.

Anyone with further experience on this?

If you gonna put valve springs and go through the hassel why not put decent ones in?

JWT is the only one that really makes them, $17 per and out of stock until further notice.

I don't care about supping up the RR, the plan is to eventually just get a JDM RR with a higher redline.

Also something tells me much stiffer springs will negate the purpose of me using an RR to begin with, low friction for gas mileage.

Vadim bc makes an entire spring and retainer kit with cams for the roller rocker, I'll try ans find the part number in my inbox and send it to you.

Here in Chile i`ve seen various SR20DE RR with the redline at 7500 with the Sentra ECU, no issues.
Even a few with a JWT ECU that has a 7700 rpm redline, still no issues

Greetings!

Since VE's require additional parts I would like to stay away if possible. I'm looking to do this as cheapaly as possible because my USDM RR probably wont last too long with boost. Thus I would be replacing the engine eventually anyway.

Roller rockers in the rest of the world are much better then USDM ones. This is why I am tempted to just swap one in when this one dies. USDM roller rockers are restricted to 6700 redline due to emissions, thus the valve springs are worse too.

Get the stock VE springs, retainers, and inner valve seats. Stop making excuses.

You mean switch it out to be dual valve sprung? But even then what's the point if lots of VE's valve float at 7200 rpm anyway.
