Thread: Sr20de-rr queries - help!!

hi guys.
my name is argiris and i'm from greece.

i have an 100nx gti (nx2000) for about 6 years with several customizations. i have an sr20de-t engine that runs great but my turbo (vf35) died this week.
so i toke it out and i put an sr20de rocker roller that i had.
i've read most of the threads about the rr motor in the forum but i can't find what i was looking for.

i had no harness for the rr (i have the ecu) so i kept the custom harness and decided to work with my haltech e6k ecu, the nissan optical triggers, the 3bar map, and a two pack coil i had on the car so far.
i'm thinking of trying the 4 throtle gtir body but not yet.

what i need is N/A maps for any kind of stand alone ecu so i can recently run the car. tunning stage is not a problem.

whats the original rpm limit of these engines??

i will show you the car and all the mods i've done once i'm done with the engine.

iirc, the factory rev limit was ~6200 rpm

USDM rr rev limit is 6700. Jdm is a little higher but dont know off hand.

You should be fine for at least 7000 rpm.

so far i havent be able to find a ready made programm so tomorrow morning i 'll start my own.
i had some issues with the exhaust that kept me busy and as soon as i am able to drive it i will take it to the exhaust center to fix it. i can then bolt the wideband sensor and fine tune it.
so far so good.

in the sr20de-t setup i had the rpm limit up to 7800 in stock gtir cams and stock sr20de valve springs. the head was a simple 53j sr20de.
the factory limit was 7500 when it was still a n/a engine.

i'm thinking to run the rr engine to 8000 in stock cams.
what's the "wildest" cam for these engines?
is there anyone have them for sale?

You cant compare RR to highport engine...

I wont definately rev to 8000 rpm on stock springs. Catcams make some nice grinds for RR DE. Or JWT makes mild cams for RR - S3R. I have them for sale.

well i've already found a broken sr16ve head and i'll take the springs and the retainers pretty soon.
what are the specs of the cams you got and how much do you want for them?
can you also calculate the shipping costs for greece?

The UKDM revs to 6900rpm. I have some big cat cams in mine iirc 298 288 with a 8200rpm rev cut and still holding power. That is with uprated springs + Ti retainers.
It would be pointless reving standard cams to 8000.
