Thread: Quest for quiet exhaust...What cha think of Megan cat back?

You can't really expect any 3" system to be quiet. Even with my 3" turbo-back its louder.

The Megan catback is not good imo. Loud and fits poorly. A 60mm WS2 with a resonator and cat should be quiet enough for your kid. Also like Louis said Dynamat in the trunk will keep the cabin noise down.

When I had an apexi ws2 it was 2.5" and It was more quite then most and non rice sounding. u want it super quite don't mod it.

60mm world sports are decently quiet when used with the right resinator. Even those also can be some what loud.

I am running the Meagan 2.5 on my b13 with turbo but before when it was n/a it was very honda rice like loud with out the silencer cap in the end ! I would not recomend running it without the cap for daly driving with little kids in the car.Personly if you have a b13 then go with a hks sport cat back it's very quiet but with a nice sound to it !

Is not about the muffler, is about the resonator...

Get the Megan and also a bigass Magnaflow resonator, you'll be golden

Not quiet true, I had a very big resonator, it didn't make it quiet but it was far from raspy, it sounded great, but too loud for DD.



STI Muffler, quietest not too restrictive OEM muffler that I've ever seen. I freaking love mine

hks sport or greddy sp2. that's all you'll ever need unless you are building an all motor beast. very quiet and no rice. too bad stromung no longer is made. that right there was quality and sounded musical.
