sr20de vs corolla xrs
so guys I was driving home from work when I notice something behind coming real fast. I saw that it was a corolla, so I paid it no mind I kind of laugh at first but something was different about this corolla it sounded like it had vvl or something. The pitch was nice but I was like this would be an easy kill. I was wrong this thing pull on me hard like 3 or 4 cars I was like what the heck. I asked the dude do you have an engine swap he said no. The car comes with the 2zzge vvtl-I in it. we both pull in a parking and chatted a bit. But wow he popped the hood all I seen was and intake and header he said he made 170 whp. so I went to youtube to see if anyone had played with one of these xrs and wow they put in work. I'm getting a sr20ve he pass me like I was standing still.

I took a ride in a 05-06 xrs with an ecu upgrade and intake/exhaust.
It pulled hard and I was pretty impressed.
I also took the owner for a ride in my VE NX with stock cams,I/H/E for comparison.
We both agreed it would be a good race from a dig.I believe I would walk him after 50-60 mph though.
...its still a Corolla,though..LOL
I will take my SR anyday, thank you.

I had one pull on me from a dig, but then after I hit 3rd gear and gained my traction back, I ended up taking him by about 3-4 cars. I love the face he made as I was pulling past him in 2nd gear with the tires still spinning. it was like one of these.......

2zz is good engine too, just chassis is heavy. It would be real blast in lightweight MR2!

As mentioned above, nice engine, but what a crappy chassis it is placed in. What a shame.
