funny question about ECU readings
Today I tried to use Datascan with a Nx2000 with cable speed sensor. The ECU identification I got was *-70Y05. I've got the Nx2000 with the electrical speed sensor, my ECU reads as 71Y05.
So I assume, lacking experience, that engine has the right ECU. I could tell it had the cable speed sensor.
Datascan hung on it, SRTalk and Tecu recognized it and where able to pull fault codes, however, Tecu decided to crash on it and SRTalk tried to output some readings. Besides only having 4 bars of readings, only one I can remember, water temp. It was reading like if where MAF readings.
I also noticed the engine was swapped in to a Nx1600 and had all the evidence somebody just slapped the engine in and didn't care about it's settings.
I suspect the cabling is all messed up, but I'm wondering how the car can perform normal but I can't get a decent reading of it? Engine swapped in and clutter in the cabling.
