Have you taken the 2.4 apart? I'm curious to see what your Bearings look like.

i'm gonna strip it down, remove the i/m, and send the block/head to a machine shop. gonna have them clean up the head and ports of any casting flash's. probably going with bc springs, again. had good luck with them on the other VE. this will end up a 2.0 with a little bump in compression, so gonna hang on to the kelfords.
will replace the bearings with acl race, replace the fr/rr main seals and get a new gasket set. haven't decided on n1 or sr16 pistons. (any input?) like to remain below 12.5-1. i understand a little will have to taken off the dome? say, .5mm or so?

sorry to the guy's that made me offers on the cams, but even @ my asking price i was loosing >$200.00

I have a set of brand new 16ve pistons and high comp rings if u want

looks good, why not just get some off the shelf cp's that are 12.5:1 that you wont have to mess with machining and so on. Hell maybe even go a little oversize if you want to. In the end it might cost you the same amount for some sr16 pistons than it would just to get some off the shelf ve cp's which are about 502 shipped now. You will benifit from the ligher weight as well.

think you're right. ~$340 for oem piston/rings+machine work or
~$502 ready to drop in.

Clean soko motor though. Very very nice. I couldnt be any happier with their motors. Seriously. Ive seen some insanely clean motors. I got a jdm de twice that couldnt have had 5k miles on it. Literally, It didnt even have that golden tint, it was still all silver underneith and the oil in it still looked like it was brand new oil not even darkened at all, all bolts, brackets, fuel rail, hardware all had that anodized color to it, seals still brand new looking and not a mark at all on the rockers, cams, or anything, Exhaust ports barely had any soot at all in them. Intake manifold had no darkened colorization to it. Cant beat their motors for the price and quality. The 3 ve's ive gotten from them have been just like yours. Very very clean.

i think you have to do n1's then sr16 are higher if your going for 12.5 comp.

The old original crew that was with Unnatural years before they closed was a very legit mechanical team. It was when WES decided he was more interested in driving than running a business is when it fell apart. The few guys who left before all the shit hit the fans were all legit guys. Wes left them out to burn.

FUCK NO!

They closed their doors for a fucking reason, fucking people over, putting their projects on top of their CUSTOMERS, meaning they would rather work on their personal cars, and let customers cars sit in the yard. Not to mention their work, id trust a monkey with a shit covered wrench more to work on my car than ANYONE that ever worked for or at unnatural. They fucked up the tranny in my car even, the guy i sold my 200sx took it there and put a pos used tranny in his car that they didnt even check and charged him a grand for the job. They did shotty work, got lots of complaints, horrid customer service, and guys that just didnt care. I do not recomend anyone from that shop teal. I dont care if he says, or thinks hes a good guy but i dont trust anyone ever from there. When they shut their doors they fucked alot of people over and from what i heard even took some money and didnt finish projects, just called the owners and said come pick up yoru shit or it will be towed.

Just dont want to see you get screwed buddy.

Also he probally meant he burned so many people in portland he came up there where no one knows unnatural or him so he could get some fucking work. I wouldnt trust one of their ex employees to add windshield wiper fluid. a majority of the things i hear about them has always been bad. I almost took my 510 there to get a motor swap but changed my mind after 10 people pmed me not to.
