found out why my sr20ve sounded like a subaru motor
so in the thread i made before wondering why my car sounded like it putterd i was wonderin why my car sounded the way it did, an the engine didnt seem to sit steady.. well i changed all the plugs today, tryed my friends plugs wires an such with no luck.. then i hit the intake with some carb cleaner an checked for leaks.. still no luck.. so i did some testing an found that #4 cylinder wasnt workin.. the dead give away was the plug, it didnt look like the others... so i took of of the old plugs, put it in the plug wire an started the car.. (btw car didnt change the way it ran while #4 plug wire was unhooked) anyways i took the plug an stuck it twords the coree support an sure enough it was firing, so that really only leaves compression an fuel.. so i stuck my compression tester on there.. 180 accross the board.. so they really only left fuel.. so we did the ol screw driver on the injector trick but was kinda hard to tell.. we popped the injector plug an took a power tester to it an it was gettin power.. so clipped it back on.. started the car.. BOOM she runs perfect.. all 4 cylinders firing now.. no more subaru sound for me.. im hella excited, plus the car runs like a champ now..
