exactly this is what ive been trying to say.

but god forbid you knock the big 2.4 craze, such a craze that how many have fucking failed, how many will fail and how many are running ? lol.

theres thousands of dead reliable k24 swaps assembled from honda, with s&r, cams, header making 260whp all day and running 11's. add in a piston, some head work and a rbc intake mani and people are doing well over 300whp.

theres no comparison, in reliability, power, times or feeling to the k.

people can LIE till they are blue in the face. let me say it agian numbers dont lie.

his build ended off with itbs, doing 330whp running a 11.3 in a FULL WEIGHT interior ek hatch.

something a sr2x na will never ever do.

10k in a sr24ve will get you 275k if your lucky. all custom shoddy workmanship imho. ticking time bomb. how many of them have blown up ? more then that are running currently. you;'d be better off spending 10k on a sr20det/vet.

the thing more people need to acknowledge, is the sr20 needs to be sleeved and stroked, this effects the rigidity of the block, the cooling properties, and the reliability. it runs hotter coolant temps, wich fluctuate much more and over heats in traffic, the oil temps also do the same thing. nothing is off the shelf, and nothing is 100%proven, nor will it ever be with only 4 motors running.

so people are trying to compare a SLEEVED AND STROKED MOTOR to a motor with just a piston, theres no comparison, its an unfair comparison.

sleeve and stroke the k24 out to a k26 or k27 and then compare a sleeved stroked motor to a sleeved stroked motor.

there are k motors laying down 400whp n/a !

but what do i know, im just talking out my brainless ass

sr24's fail because yall suck as engine builders.... things that take time and experience to perfect.... a few years from now, bored and stroked vvl will be cake.

i remember when miko said, 90mm gasket looks like itll seal to 92mm.... that was like yesterday.

all motor big bore vvl is a young community. still using 12mm lift cams...

i bet a few years from now when its typical to have a 300whp na sr24 youll enjoy that you were one of the firsts that tried and failed at the effort.

stop being so salty dude. its just money lol, we all here have wasted it...

( but they can be bored out to 2.6)

Remember they don't really have to pay for any R&D.... Mainly because there is probably a couple of big named companies making things before the motor is even out, so the Avg buyer like us don't have to spend Time and Money for R&D . R&D can sometimes cost more than anything....

but one thing I noticed between Avg Nissan Turners & Avg Honda Turners is we tend to be more technical and hands on than them. Sometimes that make us SR20 owners seem cheap, but in fact we are just do it our-selfers..

At a meet a couple of weeks ago I talked to this guy with a hooked up Civic(b18c swap) and he really didn't know to much about his own car. This is not the first time this happen. I never once met a Nissan Turner with alot in his car that didn't have some knowledge. I say 8 out of 10 VE swaps our done by there owners not a shop.

totally disagree with this.

there are rotissaree builds on k20a.org and honda tech, full blown magazine cover status builds. parts that would blow our minds.

but yes there are plenty of owners that dont know jack shit, same as they are plenty of people here who think they know, but dont know jack shit.

its very easy to sit behind a keyboard and say this and that, its much different to actually have the car/motor do what you want.

Pretty cool K build.

About equal mods ( except cams)

Times are about the same, mph are about the same.
