Get one off of ebay. Buy a set of acl rod bearings and do them just in case. I picked my VE up years ago at JDM Engine Zone in NJ for 945$. It was a sludge monster. Ran like a raped ape for a long time, lol.

Not sure where you are from but I picked my first ve from Jdm Engine Depot in Jersey. The second in Jdm Engine Zone also located in jersey. I highly recommend if u can pick it up to do so and pick the best engine available. Check under the oil cap see if there is sludge buildup as nismo pointed out. Good luck with search.

I always recommend Andreas Miko. He is very trustworthy and inspects every engine he sells and ships. He wont sell it to you if its junk. In addition the man has a wealth of knowledge, you can call him any time. You have any issues or questions he will help you. He has always been there for me and my buddy who bought a DET from him. I wont send my business or anyone who asks me where to look anywhere other than his direction.
