Ok first of all, I've never wished the Australian dollar would take a dive as much as I do right now! Those efi hardware throttles look the business. BUT! At 1800 ex gst, ex manifold, ex hardware it's pretty steep. Add shipping and Australia's funky export rules that add extra duties for high value shipments and you're looking at Hayward performance itb money. And I like the Hayward curved CF stacks more. Not sure if they have a tapered body but that's ok.

Another company who's itb's I really like is ATPower in the uk. They make direct to head setups with "shaft less" butterfly's. Basically the shaft and butterfly are cut out of the same plate, which allows for no restriction at wot, a smaller butterfly and more airspeed. But again, costs about 1800 uk pounds excl hardware for a universal itb setup mated to a ve flange.

Now, back o the OBX f20 itb's. I've had my eyes on them for a while. Even pulled the gasket from my girls s2k to compare.

They are about 54mm x 40mm and get even taller near the injector. Also, their port spacing is narrower. The inner two ports aren't bad, but the outer two are quite a bit off. So you'd have to separate these obx itb's, modify the spacing, get anew fuel rail, get an adaptor manifold. So wonder if after all that it would still be cost effective vs just buying ve specific itb's.

Here are some pics:

These F20 ITB's are an Offshore copy of my ITB S2000 system and thier build quality is,,,,, trash !
Also the port centerlines are way to different to be used on the SR20VE engine.
So don't waste your time and money on them.

Quality costs money, so making a cheap system is really a waste of time.
I don't have come backs or throttle function complaints with my systems,
that all comes with keeping a quality part.
And I am working with one of the the forum members here, on intake systems for the SR20ve.

The intake system from HP will suite 90% of the average VE guys here.

A thread for it will be created when the time comes.
