I did have the crank scraper, but it seems that what is "meant to fit" doesnt fit. Ended being a waste of money.

I didnt bother telling Kevin Johnson - by the time i pay for shipping back, or go through the hassel of telling him it doesnt fit i might as well just throw the POS in the bin. (yes sore point for me)

Cam cover only had a few slaps of paint just to get it in the car and running. Will be getting it sand balsted and then paint it again with heat hardener for high temp surfaces.

Having a few problems with VVL engagement - i think the inlet isnt actually engaging. When the builder did the head - he overlooked the grub screw that stops the rocker pivot tube from spinning. Its now spun around - and hence the oil galleries dont line up with the rocker to provide pressure.

We started some descent road tuning today.

Have found out that in this high CR range - the engine is neededing LESS fuel than it did in stock form.

At this stage i doubt i will have to run larger than 333CC injectors if things get tight ill simple step up the fuel pressure by 0.5BAR or 5-6PSI to cover the extra range.

Running a near stock VE 2.0 map was still to much fuel down low

What kind A/F are you running in the mid range.

Everything staying constant and you move from 10-1 to 12-1 pistons, the fuel intake actually gets less. The higher dome piston takes up more space so less fuel is needed per revolution. Going to high compression pistons only make the motor more efficent using the same amount of fuel.

Generally people use less timing or more fuel down low to stop some knocking and pinging.
