As it turned out it did plug right in. And it was the lsd one too. I took the c ring off just to test fit and it went in fine so I put it back and pushed the axle in all the way.

Theres no freeze plugs :) Nissan calls them welch plugs. They are on either side of the engine (exhaust and intake sides) and theres 2 on the transmission, one big and one small.
