Got it, i put the case on and everything was smooth like butter, the case will steady to top of the shift rods quite a bit.
That would be my guess, I was hoping for your sake it was an obstruction. Always make sure it will shift in to all gears before installing.

2.Remove distributor (two bolts)
3.Spin the distributor by hand
4.Listen if the injectors tick
