OBD1 ECUs have two rows of pins and they have blue connectors.
OBD2 ECUs have three rows of pins and they have white connectors.
They can interchange easily with each other providing you stay the same. No pinout required to move thing around unless you want to remove unnecessary parts to use for other things and you are frankenstein'ing something. 98 and up is where it gets weird. 97 and earlier, this is all pretty straight forward.
