Nistune & Nissan Datascan help
I have just installed a Step 3 Nistune ECU and have been having some trouble.

So I got it to load a map from my boy and that worked and it felt a lot better than the JWT ECU. Great. I was pretty thrilled with all the gauges and all but after a few tries they don't load.

In Nistune the boxes open up and I get either a blank black screen or some weird goofy incorrect values in a few of the slots and nothing in others.

In Nissan datascan the window opens with all the gauges but again only a few values that are incorrect like 6v battery and 20 for coolant temp. Then everything else reads 0.

I've read probably every thread w/ Nistune and datascan etc and I keep trying to mess w/ it but no dice. I tried restarting the machine and changing the port a few times but no dice.

So any tips or help would be appreciated.

If you have the nistune software you shouldn't need datascan nonetheless in nistune make the address is loaded and all that. I would use the gauges in nistune I like em better. My datascan crashed a year ago and still it doesn't work. The data display screen has frozen values.

I don't exactly understand what you are telling me I should try. Something about if the address is loaded ???

due to the fact that neither nistune or NDS can show working gauges it seems like it maybe a consult wiring issue or an issue with the ecu.

have you tried putting the jwt back in to see if the gauges work with it?

The JWT is on its way to Miami.

I'm pretty sure its hooking up since I can still pull codes and the Nissan Datascan hooks up. I see the bars crawling along when I hit connect. If it doesn't connect the program quits instantly for me.

Might want to enable the log files and send one to MATT he can take a look at it and tell you what the problem is.

so bens cables not working on my car either..

has that cable worked at all for you bro? if not i'd have to seriously consider contacting the seller..

the guy from PLMS will more then likely send you a replacement, but you have to send him yours and he's in Australia.. although maybe autovaughn would take it idk..

im considering doing that with mine but not till im done with it lol

Now that you mention it I'm not sure. When I got the ECU I was borrowing your cable. At some point I swapped it over but I was pretty sure I loaded the .bin with my cable.

Josh also thinks that some janky wiring could have lunched both our cable. My car does have some voo-doo/gremlins.Like no other SE-R I've ever owned.

yea that cars seriously haunted imo.. its one thing after another.. never had issues with an se-r like this before lol.. i think we just need to swap the under dash harness and the engine harness, i know you have the engine one already but im not sure what that other one is.. i think its the under dash tho..

its alot of work to rip the dash out but i think the end result would be worth it.. i also think we could swap the engine harness on with out taking the intake manifold off.
