Sure, there are Honda guys doing it "right" but they are few and far between (like every community).

I guess gone are the days of light boosted Hondas. It used to be they wouldn't run more than 0.5 bar for fear of total engine destruction. People just didn't know what they were doing for the most part back then save for a few.

Here's a couple of pics of the IAT and MAP sensor installations on the S13 SR20DET I'm using for development. This should give you an idea of what's involved with this conversion.



GM IAT sensor. I made a bung on the lathe and welded it on with an oxy/acetylene torch using aluminum welding flux. Not extremely pretty, but it works. The sensor is 3/8 NPT and is wired into the EGR temp. sensor input on the ECU. I used a heat gun and some ice water to calibrate the voltage to temp. conversion table.



GM 3bar MAP sensor takes 5V to operate. I used the TPS 5V supply, but may end up adding a 5V regulator powered from the MAF sensor 12V supply when I remove the MAF and wire the MAP sensor permanently into the MAF input on the ECU. The MAP sensor is currently connected to an analog input on my Calum RTv2. The voltage to pressure relationship is linear so no conversion table is required.

Sorry if its a dumb question I'm about to ask, can that be done on a calum basic? Probably not I see you connected the map to an analog input on the ecu, right? Again sorry for the dumb q's!

Once it is fully up and operational it will work on basic or RT.

The map sensor will fully replace the MAF sensor so as long as the chip has the right firmware on it to run the speed density setup, it will not matter if it is basic or RT.

What about ecus that don't have the complete egr sensor circuit?

I know FED S13 ka24de ecus lack some components on the board.

It isn't available to the public yet, Dave from TunerCode is working on getting it done.

I am sure there will be a post when everything is finished up and ready for release, but at this stage of the game it is in development.
