well, the bad ass 1/2" snap on is around $600, but it is, well, bad ass.

Wow, it's that much My boy has two of them, and two of the 3/8" drive. Here I thought I was going to buy one eventually.

bumping an old thread but found an awesome review of a few units. I was looking at getting the Ryobi for $99 from Home Depot because I liked the feel of it. It's very light and from the reviews I've read it seems like a good unit for smaller things like lug nuts and such.

I read that when my dead tree copy arrived. Was gunna post it, but never got around to it. These things have really gotten much better in the past 10 years.

Yea they have! I absolutely LOVE the Snap On 18v unit-it even removed axle nuts on a half dead battery! The only downside is the price! I can't justify spending $500 on a cordless impact when I do have access to air tools.

I was checking out the DeWalt DW059K-2 for $270 from Sears but it seems bulky. It also doesn't have electric brake so the gun keeps spinning after you come off the trigger. That can get annoying pretty quickly.

I like Ryobi tools I think I'm gonna pick it up tomorrow from my local HOE DEPOT.

Snap on one is worth it. I want to get a 3/8 version as well... I never use my air gun I only use the electric one now.
