Thank you so much Jay for running things last year. You must be a complete fool for picking things up again this year.

The last two years I've sworn off fun. However, getting sick has made me realize I need to do things other than work, and more work. I promised myself I would allow some fun back in my life. The convention is one of those things I need to get back into. Let me see about my schedule and how things go over the winter. I may be able to attend.

Jay, the registration forum says Do you have a sr20forum screen name? If so, what is it?". Did you mean sr20-forum?

What's the open track time like?

Do you lap for a predefined session length or something?

How large is each group?

Jay can correct me if I'm wrong, but if it's anything like previous years, and the dozens of other track days I've done, then there will be 3 groups (novice, intermediate, advanced/instructor) and each group will be on the track for 20-minute sessions. Looking at the track open/close times, I'd guess they are aiming for 4 sessions on the track for each run group, for a total of 80 minutes of track time for each group.
Group size tends to depend on track length, and how many people sign up, but a size of 20-30 can be expected if all of the spots fill up.

If you have any more questions about how a normal track day runs, ask away.

Thanks for the kind word Ben...its way more work than I ever imagined, but we pulled it off.
The feedback was amazing from 2018...and some key guys have stepped up to help for 2019 so I am not running like a chicken with my head cut off all weekend...LOL
Otherwise I would never have done it again myself...especially 2 years back to back. But trying to keep the momentum rolling int he community. The conventions were dying fast.... Hopefully someone else will step up for 2020.

I really really hope you can make this one. The track is a blast and I havent seen you since that road atlanta track day a few years ago we attended

You are basically right ,it was 15 or 20 mins cant remember..but we got waaaay more than 80 mins each. some guys wore themselves out and after lunch we combined the run groups a little also.
They let 9 at a time on track

You will get more track time than any other trackday I have been to for sure/PLUS its a PRIVATE rental so everyoneat the track will be with us.
