Forcing new members may do nothing other than making them aware of the resource before they start their journey here. Whether or not it actually helps any, who knows? Maybe time would tell.

I understand that some members basically refuse to search and learn for themselves but I can't even begin to count the numbers of times I have directed people to the Manifesto or FSM listing or otherwise. The most important all-encompassing forum resource should hit you smack-dab in the third eye when you view the cover page.

I hate to say it, but I would make use of a link to it up by the New Posts | Private Messages | FAQ | Calendar | Community | Forum Actions | Quick Links | Forum Rules links somewhere. I have no idea how popular that would be though, so don't do it on my account. How's that for non-committal?

Bingo! Yes, yes, yes! (P.S. please be careful of those sharp fence boards)

I think the Manifesto/FAQ link would slot in quite nicely next to the lime green Forum Rules.

Thanks for your feedback, Mr. Fenner! Much appreciated.

I was typing as you posted. Read my last post?

Either way, these are just some thoughts and suggestions.

I do believe Ben and I are on the same page, though, in regards to a direct link on the cover page of the forum. If there is a link for Calendar (which I had never clicked on until today), I think there should be a direct link for the Manifesto.

Your Honour, I rest me case. I leave the decision up to the Judge, Jury and executioner.

You and me both. =D

How about that forum header image? Have you guys noticed that it isn't aligned properly unless you're logged in? That happened when the newest VBulletin update went through.

It seems as though I've already badgered Cliff about this. :]

Alright @Cliff added Manifesto to the mainbar and removed the duplicate calendar entry.

When did the Suspension section get renamed to Brakes and Suspension? Did that break all of the links to those threads as Crim said it would? Why wasn't it named "Suspension and Brakes" to match the corresponding classified section? Is it too late to rename it again?

VBB has a bug, if you have two alike named forums it sees it as one. This is why each forum has to have a unique name.

Time to rename all of the Classified sections so they have "Classified - " before them as discussed for years. =]
