I can be a cantankerous, vociferous, mean, son-of-a-bitch and could give a flying rats ass who likes or dislikes my posts. A thousand dislikes would not deter me in the least from being an active part of this forum and speaking my mind. A hundred dislikes in a specific forum-argument would cause me to argue even harder.

However, I am also self-aware and know that I am not in the majority on that type of mindset.

I also realize that my friends Chris, Cliff, Manny, and Rob are waaaay ahead of me on appropriate (forum) behavior. They keep me in line when I am being a shit-head, and reel me in when I am activated and not thinking clearly. I trust the judgement of those guys over my own judgement when it comes to (my) anti-social behaviors.

Therefore I am voting with those aforementioned gentlemen on this issue. If they think a "dislike" button is a negative and will lead to hard-feelings and be a detriment to forum peace as well as new membership, then I can only agree with them.

I gotta say it's probably best to not have dislike for the sake of the community.

Liking something without giving a reason is fine. Disliking something without giving a reason, or offering another perspective, is counter productive.
ie: Where's the dislike button so I can dislike the dislike feature?

Plus last thing we want is for this forum to turn into reddit downvote hell. I do agree with Dave, if we do enable the dislike feature we should make a comment mandatory.

Given that there are very few replies since Vadim's post, I'm going to close the polls and consider this a resolved issue (no Dislike feature).
