Insulted other member(s)? That's pretty rough, considering I could make fun of a newb with 1 post who posts a riced-out sentra and potentially be given a "vacation."

Or is this because of wayne's post toward 1 particular member?

I'll let the moderator staff explain the new change. They might need some time to get their ducks in a row.

And that's BS. Your post got edited, was your post still a link to the other thread, or did you add more to it?

I should also point out that the rule change is retroactive.
That means if you've ever insulted anyone in the past, you're subject to the rule even now. Anything you've said prior to the rule change can still be brought up now and be cause for punishment. Be aware.

This is significantly more strict than the previous rule of "No threatening, or overly abusive personal attacks". The infractions for the new rule can be handed out by the moderation staff without prior warning.

The rule change is also retroactive.

Hopefully there will be a forum-wide announcement about the new rule and the appropriate section of the forum rules will be altered to reflect the new state of things.

Please clarify Sir Vadim.

I see no changes to Matts Forum Rules as posted.

I also realize that there is "discretion" in Moderator powers, and the Official Rules. As there should be, every case is different, Mods gotta have some latitude in enforcing rules. Using common sense and good judgement. That is why they are Moderators (and I am not ).

I've always been extremely aware of the Rules in any setting. So I know exactly how far I can push things.

Oh I didn't do it, I said it's BS that someone got tried for a rule that wasn't in place. I know who did it, but am trying to dig to the bottom of this.

Cool. Cause I wanted to tell you you are a douchebag, and I did not want to get in trouble. .....

YES, I am kidding. I just couldn't resist.

I'll drop this line of questioning, sounds like the Staff needs a little pow-wow.

Was there some type of lawsuit where someone insulted someone else (on a public forum) and the forum was sued?
