HELP! Rear disk brake swap on GXE
Hey guys (& gals). I need some help and or insight because I don't have time to try, try and try again on this issue and im sure someone has done it already, so here goes!

I have a B15 GXE race car with a W10 DET swap going in it. With the added power I need more stopping ability than the stock front disk and rear drum set up can offer. I have an SE-R Brembo swap going on the front, but I want to put a stock SE-R rear disk brake set up in the back. I have a few questions.

• can I use the stock master cylinder?
• does anyone know off hand if the Brembo swap bolts up to the stock caliper brackets?
• will an SE-R rear disc set up bolt up to the rear drum beam axle?

I will also be running the hydraulic brake lines through the cockpit to the rear axle with a manual bias control valve.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks

I think the beam would have to be swapped but I am not sure.

You can use the stock master cylinder, yes.

The brembo will bolt to your stock hub, your wheel selection will be more than cut in half more than likely.

Maybe someone with beam-swapping experiences can help you in regards to the drum -> disc brakes at the rear.

b15s arent too common on the forum and when they show up its the SE Performance Package ones with the stock SR20, rear disc brakes, Etc.
I know that you need an adapter to go from drum to disk on b15s without changing the entire beam. I know TDMImports sells the bracket you need.

You might want to troll B15u.com to find out more on this swap as most of us on here wont be able to help.

Edit:
Here you go

You'll need the calipers and e-brake lines for disc brakes and the bracket ($100) http://www.tdmimports.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=61_83&product_id=80.

Thanks guys that's awesome, I appreciate the help. We were looking for a B15/P11 transmission and came across a good 2001 B15 SE. We are buying this car for the B15 SR trans, then swap the entire rear beam with the disc brake system on to the race car then putting our drum brake rear beam on the new car and running it at our local ice racing club. Lots of work ahead of us bit will be with a blast. I think we are back on track.

The Brembo's are massive now time to search for some 17" wheels.
