VE in a 1.8 B15
I'm looking into a VE swap for my 04 B15

I'll simply state what I know and what I might need filled in on.

-Motor mounts are the same other than the transmission mount.
-B14 ECU for OBDII and reflash support.
-Need a window switch for VVL
-B15 SE tranny OR P12 tranny. P11 Tranny is garbage
-B15 SE clutch is cable

Main details I don't know is about the P12 tranny.
I know people do 6 speed conversions with spec V trannys but what if I just used a whole p12?
I'll assume I need the axles and is the clutch hydraulic?
Car is currently an automatic, so clutch system isn't a concern until I buy a transmission.

I'd greatly appreciate any other advice from you guys. Swap seems fairly straight forward but none of my friends know about nissans and I've only experienced helping others swap hondas and volkswagens.

I can share some experience as well. I personally have a 2003 B15 GXE(1.8) and I am going to put a SR20VE+T in. It is not as simple as you think. 718Boyz is definitely right about the mounts. My setup is the P12 gearbox so that mount would always be different. The engine mount for right side is going to be the same for the FWD SR, you have to also make a bracket on the chassis for that. To make my life simpler I got the complete sub-frame from the 2001 sentra SE with all mounts and the cross member. I got the complete harness from the SE as well and got a jumper for the ecu(OBDII 32bit to OBDI) you can go OBDII. Its your choice. I would do the OBDII because in that way you dont lose some functions. But once you get through this, it gets easier. I mean if you get someone that knows what they are doing when it comes to the harness, it can be easier than the way I explained.

I obtained a stock B15 harnesses and 1 that was converted to B14(I believe). I decided I'm going to go with nismotronic for tuning so I need to convert the harness to B13. I have no problem doing the wiring, since I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron and I can read FSMs just fine. I just need to find a B13 connector. Could also use an ECU aswell.

I'm aware a 94 won't work.

I've read somewhere that stepping down to obd1 will cause me to lose some accessories. Can someone list the cons of stepping down?

Were those harnesses salvageable?
