Those Tsurus are made cheaper and worse than the USDM Sentra standards.

Mexican Government is trying to get Nissan to stop making the cars because they are unsafe but Nissan sells so many because they are so cheap and work so well they last forever.

According to Nissan.com.mx the curb weight of a "loaded" 2017 Tsuru GSII is 2176 pounds. According to Edmunds a '94 5 speed E sedan was 2346 (a '94 GXE sedan was 2438). Corners cut.
