Tranny gone?
After a 23 mile ride to work and getting there, in 1st after coming to a stop creepin forward into my spot, something let go. No 1st or reverse, hear a whirring when trying to go. Clutch cable feels tight as it should under the hood. Recently did the passenger side axle boot but didn't even remove the axle although afterwards I felt the slightest vibration through 2nd and 3rd, that was a couple weeks ago. About 35,000 on motor, 218,000 on tranny, maybe 10,000 on fx400 clutch.

Well I see why the forums are a dying breed...nobody responds to inquiries anymore.

Looking like it was the axle. I'll know more when I have it in the air.

i had something similar happen to me with my b14 after the strut peeled away from itself and i ended up breaking both axles. the strut was rotted and when i made a turn coming out of my driveway the bolted part peeled away from the strut, snapping the both cv joints. i replaced the driver side first then the car would creep only when in first. then it would stop all together. hopefully its just a bum axle.

Its a dying breed because Facebook provides instant answers and everyone just gets spoonfed answers(right or wrong). Nobody cares about learning, they just want an imediate solution..Its a sad society we are turning into when we dont retain any knowledge.
It pisses me off on a daily basis how lazy people have become, and how everyone is an expert.

I would guess axle as well...probably didn't like the angle of the dangle it was most likely placed in when previously doing the axle boot.
