Side by side of White SER 47,000 Miles and Red SER 175,000 miles. If these 2 pics were posted side by side without the miles and I said one had 47,000 miles and the other had 175,000 miles which one would be your guess.

Look at the heat wrapping around the AC line. The red car with the 175,000 miles looks like it is in perfect condition while the white car looks all beat up. If that red SER was closer to me I would buy it. but as it stands thats a $1100 trailer ride from Washington State to Miami FL.

Look at the quality of the metal on the heat shield that sits over the exhaust manifold. The red cars shield looks damn near new while the while cars shield looks tarnished and old.

Okay one more time, I get your point(s), but it still does not disprove the 47k as being legit miles.

I did detailing for a living back in the day and it's pretty obvious that the red example has been detailed and it doesn't appear that the white one was at all. I agree with you 100%, the red one appears to be cleaner based on the pics.

Couple things I notice about the red one. Looks like it still has the OEM rad cap and lower rad hose clamps at 175k, this could indicate a lack of maintenance. And where the hell is the hose off the catch can going?

Carfax has it's limitations but can either fill in some history through emissions and registration records as to mileage or raise questions as to whether there has been tampering with mileage or gaps with no evidence of history whatsoever. I've seen both and had bought my 91 not knowing that the odo was short 32K miles until after the fact. Carfax alerted me that there was a fraud alert on the mileage when I ran it a few years after the purchase but lesson learned. Nope they're not even close to perfect but they are better than nothing. We all do agree that they are pretty much worthless when it comes to accident reports. Dealers will do whatever it takes to sell anything so this 100-150K+ B13 will be bought by someone who doesn't have a clue about our cars. Miko is right about the terminals though. Still have the original positive cable & connector on my 94 at 147K.

My car still retains it's both OEM battery connectors. Hell, the positive side still has the little cover that fits on top of the terminal. Makes me wonder if the 116k is really... 16k?!

Looks way way cleaner under the hood and has the OEM terminal.

The rims look just as good as the white SER with 47,000 miles.

The trunk capet looks brand new

The steeing wheel looks in way better condition. I wonder why.... and thats with 130,00 miles more.

This one is down the road from me. I had a look and it's a clapped up pos.
