Here's a March '91 Car and Driver SE-R test that states "Want an automatic transmission? Sorry."

Here's a June '93 Motor Trend SE-R test that states The "sole transmission" is the manual...

And finally an April '91 Car and Driver NX2000 test that mentions the automatic as an option...

The rarest B13 I've ever seen just happened to be driving through the parking lot at the 2001(?) Convention picnic in Virginia... a blue 93 or 94 SE-R with an automatic transmission. The guy had no idea about the convention, and was just out for the day with his family.

I doubt there were more than a few made.

Yep, I have seen only one auto SE-R ever, and never a blue SE-R. That's one rare car, at least around Va.

Cool story bro time, but there was an aztec red auto SE-R in the pull-a-part here in nashville. It was probably 5 years ago now, back when i had my GA16DE car. I din't realize they were so rare at the time

That's cool but I still wouldn't want it, being an automatic. Love the blue, but that tranny kills it for me. Vital part of the SE-R heritage is the manual tranny. Reminds me of some of these guys that buy 1920s Rolls Royces from a barn find, that don't run, for several million dollars. And they never get it to run because it would "ruin the originality of it". If I got an auto SE-R, I'd swap it. People already won't pay much for a standard one. Blue is the best SE-R color though IMO. I love white but that kind of blue is awesome.
