Saw a '78 Skylark the other day and other than the colors it looked just like my first car...

There was a lot a room in the front without a silly center console and if you slid that bench seat all the way back there was no need to climb into the back seat. Ask my wife, she'll tell ya. Ahh, the good ol' days.

Wished Nissan would have...
1 Made B pillar seat belts standard
2 NX brakes & master cylinder
3 No sunroofs
4 Better designed tranny with no 5th gear popout & stronger 3rd gear.
5 Better rustproofing
6 Better door hinges
7 better weathersealing especially around tail lights
8 No automatic transmissions
That's about it IMO. No digital gauges, no 4 dr, no Nismo Edition. The B13 SE-R was different in it's day for a reason. Probably hurt sales because it didn't stand out like other cars in it's class but that was the beauty of it. A wolf in sheep's clothing. But damn when you drove it it just felt right for just $11-12K. Now about those cupholders....

I was thinking the other day that I love that the SE-R has just a hint of sportiness to it's looks and isn't a stick-out. What other car has that?

Every BMW sedan ever.

I would disagree. People know it's a BMW and so there are expectations that come with that. I pretty much expect every BMW to be performance oriented.

Back from the dead....

Driving in this morning I remembered a bitch I had with my first SE-R and each one since, the "disappearing CD/paper syndrome". This is when CD's, paperwork or anything with a thickness of 1/4" or less placed on the passenger seat goes missing, usually after folding the passenger seat up, then back again or side-stepping the clutch at 5,000+ rpms. The gap between the ass cushion and seatback being the culprit. Simple extension of the material on the back of the seat to wrap down below and attach to the underside of the ass cushion would solve this. Our '96 Leagacy Outback had this "feature".

Oh, and a "fade out" dome light would be nice too.

I'm done. Carry on.
