Action Clutch 2MS
* Brand : ACTION CLUTCH
* Type of product : Clutch Kit
* Purchase price : $380-450
* Where it was purchased : Forum Vendor
* Quality : It Appears good at first
* Rating : Poor 😠😠😠
* Install difficulty : Average- A clutch install start to finish 4 hours.
* Platform :1993 Nissan Sentra SE-R

Hmm. Not sure where to start with this company. Just always seems like there is a issue with these clutch kits some where. I have to say my experience started off horrible from the start, it did not arrive in the promised time, which threw off my plans with my family , and caused me to miss a race event I was planning for a month. I recently purchased the 2MS clutch kit and had problems with my kit. Installed this clutch buttoned the car up and the car will not go into gear with the clutch cable adjusted in the correct positioning. Cable had to be adjust to the point the throw out bearing was rubbing very ,very, hard on pressure plate to move it from gear to gear, even so clutch was not engaging right.Grounds for something going wrong none the less.

Needless to say I removed the (New) action components and installed my old clutch unit and everything is working fine again. My assumption is that there is a fault with my action pressure plate. I gave this product a chance I am dissatisfied let down and will never purchase one of these kits again. I will buy a JGY customs clutch unit first neither company has a good reputation to me.
Action has offered to replace and test the pressure plate. I do not want part of the warranty process. This is my daily driver and after performing two clutch jobs to get my daily driver running again I'm tired and do not have more time to waste. ( Take note the average cost for a 2 clutch jobs from a private professional mechanic would total $800 -$1000 in labor cost alone ) BUYER BEWARE with these clutch kits your odds are about 50/50 on whether you will get a good experience or a bad one . Those odds are no longer good enough for me and should not be for you. Problems spanning from this company are similar pressure plate issues, Rivets popping out of clutch disks, and the known stripped clutch (center spine issues) on the earlier versions though ...that issue was remedied. Your not going to find many people willing to speak up on the issues with this clutch, Some are too timid, some are protecting others reputations or their own relationships. I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE. Are you willing to roll the dice with your money ? That is the question I pose for you.

In the words of The C.E.O of action clutch

Thanks for the post! I've been thinking about getting a new clutch.

Note: Any clutch can have issues if you drive it too damn hard/ can't drive a stick right or its just real old or too much power for said rating. Which I see all the time and they blame the clutch.

But no clutch should have springs popping out of discs or stripped splines on unsprung discs or wrong engagement points which mess up engagement/disengagement

I personally would buy an iffy clutch but I'm not paying top dollar for it................. I'll buy a cheap clutch for cheap

That is why you should only buy clutches from reputable name companies. Trying to save a few bucks never turns out good in the long run with critical parts.

Correct Sir. Cost me Waaay more money and time in the long run two clutch jobs 800 -1000 in labor if I had brought it to a mechanic plus 12 hours I'll never get back from my life.

You could probably find action clutches in a gum ball machine these days.

guys are you kidding? let's not forget how many times stephen (topdog781) insulted us when we first
contacted us we literally offered full support before he legitimately insulted us. there was no reason for
him to say what he did..

this is my response. i just want to inform you of stephens comments way before things got out of hand. He assumed that he had an issue with the clutch we offered a replacement without a hassle, he turns around begins spilling his feelings in an aggressive way, the elite mechanics in the ST world contacted him and tried to trouble shoot stephen DID NOT acknowledge it and kept his opinion. He later made a album using our clutch kit in different ways that it can be used other than the original way it's used thinking its funny to disrespect our brand.. again i tried to fix things pat klutch did also by offering a replacement and so forth and he began talking shit about us, i admit fault by saying what i had to say.. but when someone offers you help to fix the situation and you neglect it then turn around disrespect the brand for NO REASON, it really says a lot.. were here to back the product up and help in any way shape or form.

Again, i understand my comments shouldn't have been said but there's a lot of history with action and myself. It gave us an opportunity, we are the brand and we never disrespected anyone we're human beings as well not robots in which a person can aggressively disrespect you after offering full support. I just don't find it fair how people are quick to judge by a screen shot, when they haven't even heard all the stuff he has done before those comments were made.

This is my response, i admit i was wrong for voicing my opinion about the person but it got personal and i in no way tried to involve my brand into
this. the comments that were said were for stephens insults aggressive vulgar language used against us before i stated what i stated. I want to apologize to everything who saw my vocabulary and post on facebook. This has nothing to do with action it was more of stephen and i... personal stuff and i still don't think it justifies anything but i'm sure the community can agree that when someone disrespects you after offering the most support but numerous admins as well it's uncalled for to do what he did.

I will never use Action Clutch because of my bad experience with quality and the service I receive. I took a risk on a new brand and it cost me big! I purchase an Exedy clutch and replaced it, the car worked fine and I didn't change anything but the clutch.
Sticking to my old reliable brand no matter what it cost me.
