For the record I am not a cheap bastard. I could have had any car under 50k but chose a house instead, and a B13 because it reminds me of my dad who passed away, and it's the only car I know how to work on.

How is that strange? My dad passed away 2 years ago *today*. My first car was a 93 Sentra XE that he gave me when he bought his brand shiny and new 98 Sentra SE (which eventually became mine). They remind me of him. And I need to remember.

And it was either continue renting and get a really nice $40k~ish car or buy a house and get a Altima/Sentra etc. Don't see whats so odd about that.

Yeah, we are some cheap bastards. Even those t28 kits, 9 times out of 10 they are collecting dust on someones shelf, ask me how I know. We are all guilty of it. But if something is going to change, it has to be from within. Something motivating, inspiring. A community header would be the shit; nice chromed plate stamped with "DASH" on the runner. Probably wishful thinking though. Try and fail, we still tried.

I think it is a decent option. The min order is 30 with a listed price of $20-60. So assuming it is 60, the minimum investment (though I don't know about shipping) is $1800. That is pretty damn cheap. If I had more time I would do it myself. I think that you could check the headers and if there were problems you could try to take it up with the supplier or you could just adjust the price to eat the bad units. I bet anyone could pull that off and sell them for $200 shipped.

That doesn't include shipping and shipping is always a killer on all those alibaba deals. I'm guessing it would be especially expensive to ship 30 headers.

Nah my last name is "White" - which was one of the 14 different last names that came over on the Mayflower. My dad was about as white as you can get. I myself am Italian and irish.
