my next set of tires for both of my nx's will likely come along with 16 in wheels just so i can keep getting tires in the future

friend owns a tire shop and anytihng he can get in a 205 is nothing i want to run.

So time for new wheels

Right with huge aspect ratios and clown tires

I remember when you could get all sorts of 14" tires. Do any of you know when the major manufacturers cut off production? I don't want to buy used tires from any older than 3-4 years if possible.

I've got a friend checking in for me since I have a connection who supposedly can get good used tires here in DeKalb. For now I'd really like to score a set of BFG SS, or Yoko AVS ES100 or Dunlop type tire. So tired of Falken Ziex and their 10k mile shelf life.

Benny - I know you want to stay with 14's if possible, but I'm not clear if you're holding out for 205's.

205/50-15? There are a number of excellent street tires in that size. That's a real sweet spot.

Chris I think he means 205/XX 14 is unavailable until like 205/70 14 size which would look ridiculous and probably compromise handling a lot on an NX.

Yeah, but what size 14's are YOU looking for???? Like I said a ways back, there are some decent choices in 185/60 & 195/60.

I think I'm going to settle for 195/60 R14 I can't see myself putting less tire on an NX with ground control suspension and STBs

Still holding out hope for 195/55 or 205/50 but not looking likely. Also may try to get something off CL.

Good luck trying to find that 195 or 205, I'll be surprised if anything shows up. BTW, you know about the manufacture date code, right?

Tires Manufactured Since 2000

Since 2000, the week and year the tire was produced has been provided by the last four digits of the Tire Identification Number with the 2 digits being used to identify the week immediately preceding the 2 digits used to identify the year.

Example of a tire manufactured since 2000 with the current Tire Identification Number format:

Thanks Chris. I'm really striking out here. Ordered a set of 15" MB weapons with some cheap Direzzas on Discount tire to get the rebates but its not available until August (at the earliest)

I'm still holding the rebates though so if anyone knows a good wheel that is NOT Drag brand lemme know.
