Thread: JDM SR20de differences

I noticed on another website that the JDM motor came with 10 extra horsepower is that just an ecu change?

I know most JDM ecus have a 110 mph governor on them but they do tend to have better fuel maps for higher octane gas. Anyone have the jdm ecu number and would it be worth it to switch? just wondering

Even when the ECU should have been different I really don't think the raise is because of it, or at least not the whole part.

Upgraded exhaust manifold and raise CR would be the main reason, I also heard the intake cam is slightly bigger

Also some were 10:1 compression which would increase hp a bit as well.
