good luck on your decision

gave them away? were they in good shape? Guess you did not like them that much. Look I like the sr20 and trust me I know what it is capable of but I am happy with the little econo box that the NX is and was meant to be. I know you can make anything fast with money and time but those are two things I do not have a lot of right now. Something is to be said for a 30mpg 140hp 2.0 liter motor with ice cold a/c and the ability to live with on a daily basis. - Just saying

I got 30-32 mpg with all my mods with stock B13 tranny,,, now with B15 tranny I get 100% to the tee 28 mpg regardless if I drive it like a baby or I flog the pavement,,

I have 2 nx's ,,, it took me right at 4 years to get my car where it sits now.... took more time because I didn't have the money...

Every Mod on my ride came from here! I watched for these item to come up for sale and grabbed it,, and everything was New in the box too!

I saved a little here and there and did what I could ,, the best thing about all this is I did all my own work //// with the help of a friend and that friend is who got the blues from me

not trying to talk you out of what you like or want,, I think your best bet would be the blues ,,,, great value for what they are,, basically stock

yeah and my boosted 240 gets 20-24 mpg and it took me 5 years to get it the way I wanted it. What do you need to replace on the stock strut pieces that I should order. I am guessing new seals and rubber boots for sure and maybe some new pillow plates?? I mean Nissan has the parts listed however I am sure it will be a slow back order thing that will take a month to get? Anyone have any dealers that they know of that stock OEM B13 Nissan parts?

I guess I only thought s13 and s14 parts were hard to come by they are like Chevrolet parts compared to the B13 parts.

Surprised nobody's mentioned this yet. It has great info on pretty much anything you can find suspension-wise for these cars. Sounds like it's way more info than you need with just wanting to keep it stock height/performance, but it still has a lot of info that's interesting and/or useful to you should you ever want to know. It sounds like the Tokicos will make you happy (and that you've already made up your mind), but if you start missing the performance from your S-body when you're DDing your B13, the AGXs will have been a good choice. The KYB GR-2s are also an excellent choice, I believe they're about 15% stiffer than stock, same ride height, and a good alternative if you can find them cheaper.

Click specifically here for the section you want at the moment.

Also, find GregV in the vendors section. Pretty much if they made it for a Nissan, and it's still in the US, odds are he can get it for you. Call him, he'll probably personally tell you exactly what you'll need.

Read the "OTHER STRUTS" section of that same post. It's bold after the "how to put together CSK's". It's mentioned.

I probably will eventually get those -- right now I have been nothing but chasing crazy weird problems. Like a bad fuel filter and the check valve is also bad and making noise. Not letting pressure/ vapor out of the fuel tank and recirculating it back into the fuel line. I think this car sit for years and was never driven like maybe at least 10 years of non starting and non driving. That is the only thing I can think of that would make a check valve go bad. I have never seen that before on a car. Bought a new one but it will be a while before it gets here.

Will get these soon though and soon as I get more time and money to get it done. thanks for the opinions.

Here are some pics from my 93nx that sat for 6 years.
It had stale gas and a ton of crap in the tank.Heres what I did
-Removed fuel pump
-Pumped out the gas with a hand pump
-scooped with hands in the tank, then used a 1x1 shopvac multiple times.Essentially washing out the tank by adding fresh gas, swishing it around and sucking it back out.
-Put in a new peulpump and sock filter
-Disconnected the fuel rail and pumped fresh gas through the lines
-pulled off the fuel rail and cleaned it.Amazingly the injectors were ok.

how did all that sediment get into your tank? It looks like mud. Is it rust or what. Yeah it took me a while to figure it out. I thought it was the rear caliper till I started smelling gas a little then relieved the gas cap and it had some huge pressure built up. I finally found it by playing with the fuel return line and squeezing the check valve. It would stop buzzing when I squeezed it and I could feel it bubbling inside its housing and the out line from it was collapsed and had no fuel in it. I am wondering it I have some of that crap in my tank? It does not run like it wants to die or anything it holds idle and runs good except for the check return valve and I plan to replace it. However, now wondering if it could get clogged again from sediment in the tank. How did all that get in there?

oh yeah my gas mileage is a little off. Not bad but like 60 miles less per tank than it should be but that is from the clogged valve.

wait are those metal tanks?

also since the return valve is based off gas vapor which it condenses back into fuel - I assume sediment has no play in whether or not it gets clogged but the fuel filter is another story.
