set idle timing setup
So I am setting up the idle timing for diagnostics as base idle ignition was at the DE 15 deg and the Idle duty is at 20. I am setting the tining at 5deg for the SR20VE , however what should the Idle duty be adjusted to?

If the ECU is showing you 20* as the base idle, you should set your physical distributor to 20* base idle timing. Sounds like more things about your setup need known, however.

Sorry Kyle, At the moment when idle and timing is at 5deg, you lock the timing and jumps to 15deg.
This is for the setting in Nismotronic to set what the timing is when locked, ie to adjust the distributer(as I have had to replace the Cam Angle Sensor) or the iacv for example.
I have an SR20ve , so I want to set the timing at 5deg.
It is located in the Diagnostic section/ base idle ignition.

NismoTronicSA Help - SETUP Tab

The base tune is for the DE so it is set at 15deg and the Idle Duty is at 20.
Its the Idle Duty I am unsure of for the SR20ve.

It seems I have answered my own question. It seems like somewhere around 16 -25%. When at idle it should sit at about 50% on the gauge. If not, adjust the idle screw on the idle control valve until it does. At 50% the ECU can adjust up/down to trim idle speed as required.
