oldeskewltoy... says Hi!

Thats me... the above photos are about 2 years old now.

As for old photos of me... (from 1976) below is me and a friend, I'm the one who was working....

I'm pulling my first engine... the car is a 1968 Volvo 1800S, I'm using the "tools at hand" a come-along, and basketball backboard

I've spent most of my life in the automotive industry, having worked as a tech for VW, Toyota, and of course Datsun... yep, I worked for Datsun a LOOOOOONG time ago.

More recently (past 5 years) I've been learning the "black art" :teehee: of cylinder head porting :eek2:

I've got some special equipment, one of which is a flowbench.

For those who do not know what a flowbench is, it is a tool used to measure a cylinder heads ability to pass the air and fuel charge - both in, and out of the head.

The above photo shows a Toyota largeport 4AG head, below is some testing numbers generated on a largeport 4AG head

As you can see from the charts, porting actually can improve the cylinder heads performance without any other modifications.

One of my earliest clients (owner of OST-005) has moved on from his 4AGE powered MG, he is now racing a P10 Primera/G20, and he asked me to look @ an SR20DE head.......

More to come.......

Dan, it was OST-008 with the HKS 264/256 package.
I had this permanent-blowing-ultra-unreliable AE86. Do not understand why all people admire that pile of crap that much
It handles great, looks like a car from the 80s - designer teams were finally alowed to use a ruller.

But hey - thank you for helping me out. I like your attitude and the way you support me!

Welcome oldeskewltoy. It looks like you're replying in the other thread now, so I assume all is well.
