OK, back in the game now.

Finances are finally back to square following this stupid trickle down recession!

reading through an old thread today, i came along a thread from a pretty switched on and well known local member...

The market in Australia (where all our SR20 powered cars were A's) is 4.167:1 from the factory so no source here for shorter factory finals.

I know the bolt holes are different on the VLSD crown wheel, and i don't think its just oblt holes, i think the actual diameter of the ring where it seats on the differential is a different diameter (as the VLSD is R180 and the Open diff is R160 size) so making it fit doesn't sound like an easy process.

Hey guys,

sorry for the late update. Just talked to the engineer there, and the prototype LSD has been completed there over the weekend, however, we are still missing 1 part to do the final assembly of it which is scheduled to come in within the next 1-2 weeks.

please could you organise between yourselves who will be doing the testing of this unit?

Thanks!

Stephen,

Thank you for the update. I can only speak for myself and I cannot test the unit since i don't have a gearbox to take apart to try it in.

Anyone else game for this unit to test? I am excited for a new replacement to the old and dying sealed VLSD units. Mine is just about shot in the B14.

At least we had a fairly promising update before 2014! Seems like it is pretty close to bein on schedule which is another good update to salivate over.
