Those pics do look like it offers plenty of room, especially for people living where there are great roads.. and it's not a complaint of mazworx, it's the thought of a 4-1 header in general for a FWD at all.. It I definitely lower than the crossmember, but how often do we hit that?? ya know??

When is the last time you looked at the scrape marks on your cross member?

Mine has a ton. There all covered by surface rust for the time being. Either way, that does get hit and the skid plate will hopefully do its job.

What I am worried about is speed bumps. I CRAWL over them and I have heard my exhaust clamp hit them before. I am using a different clamp in a different spot and I have not once heard my new exhaust system hit anything. I am also using 195/55-15 tires instead of 205/50-15 tires which also raises the car a tad.

But if you go too fast over that first half of the speed bump, when the car slams down it would slam the header straight up. That is my primary concern.

There are at least ten different speed bumps I could encounter in my daily driving activities. all of them are different sizes, shapes, heights.

I hope the header does not get destroyed by them since it is a very nice and moderately priced piece for what you get out of it.

Ive never hit my cross member and ive driven my car threw nyc a bunch of times. My ic pipes have hit the ground a handfull of times, maybe 10 total and they are 2inchs of the ground in spots. I run agx/hypercoils. Is your car slammed to the floor ? From my judgement the header looks spot on. I dont see it hitting if you drive safely. Of coarse if u go off roading and mountain crawling.... ok no now im kidding. Seriously though it looks fine.

keep it up mazworx !

I have KYB AGX, Hypercoils, Koni bumpstops and Motivational Engineering rear shock mounts as well on my B14.

Not slammed at all. Sounds like I need to buy this ASAP....

Viprdude you should be more then fine. Cautiously drive around speed bumps, nice and slow, repeat after me nice and slow. Lol.

I think they would really liven up your de and be perfect when you go ve.

I cannot avoid 3 speed bumps in my damn townhouse community about 90% of the time. Only rare can I go around the whole speed bump. That other real estate is where all the other members of this "community" park. I drive a few miles an hour over all speed bumps. Nice and easy. I creep over them.

This would certainly help the cams breathe some more. I can make no adjustments and swap the header and find out the difference right away gained. Now I just need money.

The only problem I may have is the cat is flanged for a 2.5" and this header is 3". I am not changing to a 3" exhaust since I just bought this one a few months ago and it is awesome and stainless steel. I would need a new flange welded on I presume.

Yes. 3 inch will not be needed on a de.
