I plan to make my own catch can out of 1/8" aluminum plating, Four -8AN aluminum weld on fittings two at the back and two at the front, two larger breather filters on top, and it will mount where my distributor used to be right over the coolant pipes. These cans should not be that much to make in all honesty. Its a simple rectangle design, material for the can is less than $60 plus time to weld the box together, drill and weld in the fittings and pipe or pipes on top to attach a filter to. T1 sells their catch cans for roughly 350 bucks I believe as well as one from BlueRidge Motorsports about the same price.
All said and done welded and all by a local shop, Ill have about 100 bucks into the can total it will use the bolts for the coolant pipes/thermostat housing to head bolts to mount. Clean, simple, and will make my breather lines really short without running all over the bay. BTW, gonna do a nice hardline breather line setup. Mmmmm
