Update from Bosch
A Bosch representative actually called me today!! Not email, an actual phone call!!.. Kewl..

They recommend using the Universal O2 Sensor #15727 as the exact equivalent 4 wire replacement for our sensor. He also recommended that we wire the Gray signal grounding wire to the same location as the PCM (ECU) grounding location (which is on the rear of our intake mani)..

In our conversation, we discussed options for grounding the 3wire O2 sensor. He said that would be impossible to accomplish once installed because the outside shell is internally insulated and all modification would have NO effect (like the test showed)... And he also said that any modifications to the O2 seal washers above the threads (additional washer, wires inserted, etc) would impact: the depth of the sensor and possibly cause exhaust leaks; NOT recommended..

Only 2 options recommended: Install a 4-wire equivalent (15727) or improving the grounding properties of the header/exhaust system. He said the main reason for the development of the 4-wire O2 was the use of OEM Stainless Steel and other non-conductive components in the exhaust systems by manufacturers.

So everyone, we are definitely on the right track here... I need someone to lookup which cars use the Bosch #15727 O2 sensor. I will grab one at the junkyard tomorrow or Saturday (when Im not drinking and watching March madness!! :rofl..

No problem Dudeman258! You know me, I will do anything to gain MPG's

My goal is to find the most power and MPG's and then share the information with everyone

That is fantastic news man!

I was thinking that there is no other way then just the 4 wire plug... Now I do see one on ebay but its $50

BTW here is a car that has that O2 sensor

Heh, that 4-wire O2 sensor is used in the Ferrari F50. Scotty, let me know if you find an F50 at Ray's.

I think I found a car that has them.... well more of a truck...

2000 Nissan/Datsun Truck Pathfinder 4WD

It looks like the 2000 Nissan Maxima also has this O2 sensor...

Another interesting note, the 15727 O2 sensor can be used for our cars as a Cat O2 sensor... look here

Hey DC Scotty,

I was looking at the Bosch Oxygen Sensor Part #: 15727, and some sites are saying that it is the down stream one, aka after the cat one...

Just to complicate things further , the O2 sensor on my buggy has black, white, and RED wires.

I also checked my SSAC header and the header tubes themselves are SS, but the O2 bung is just regular old steel. So, one could weld a tab onto that little bung (there's just enough room to do it), drill a hole in that, and run a grounding strap from there to the block to bypass the whole SS setup. 4-wire looks to be easier, but it's something to think about if the 4-wire is too long to clear the fan.

Man I hate to be posting so much but I was looking on a forum and someone said that if they wanted to use a universal one then they should stick to Part #15727.

Well they said you could try using Part #13275.

Check this thread for more info

It's much cheaper thats all I can say

LOL!! Yeh.. I dont think I'll find a Ferrari F50 at Crazy Rays or Branch! !

But, a 1999 Sentra or 2000 Maxima is definitely possible.. The 2000 Pathfinder is probably not there either... But, I will check.. Thanks Vadim...

Too many beers to work on car tonight.. But, maybe tomorrow night...
