Maybe this will be of some help for those converting a B13 to the NX2000 fronts and the 91-94 Maxima SE rear caliper:

The rear rotors are 258 x 9 mm (10.160 x .350).

The Brembo # for this rotor with 4 holes is W0133-1754697 (25150)

The Winhere rotor has the same number. (Made by Brembo?)

The Centric # is 120.42053. Also 4 holes.

Raybestos, I understand has a fit, too. #96155R. (but double check to be sure)

There are others including factory Nissan, not to mention the redrilled offerings.

But if you don't want to redrill, you have some readily available choices, some under $30.

Isn't that the same size as the A32 rotors? I would imagine the only difference in the 91-94 max and the 95-99 are the caliper. just like the B13 and B14 you can use the same rotor, I should of thought about that before but if they are the same why is the 91-94 max rotor cheaper if they are the same size as the 95-99? and I'm sure they are 4X114 and not 4X100 right?

If the rotors are the same size then the 4x100mm bolt pattern would be the only difference.

91-94 Maxima rear caliper uses a D540 pad. 95 on is a different pad so caliper is different in some way.

91-94 Maxima or P10 rear calipers are to be used for the B13 chassis to upgrade rear brakes. I prefer the P10 calipers as the dog ear is a little longer making for an easier e-brake attachment. 95-99 Maxima calipers are used to upgrade B14 rear brakes.

It makes sense. Increasing friction on the fronts (ie. ad22's, wilwood or just performance pads) takes more weight off the back under hard braking....hence less friction is needed in the rear to achieve max braking without lockup.

I suppose under street conditions it requires less pedal pressure due to the increased friction all the way around...which in turn fools people into thinking they have "better" brakes.

Valid theory Hank, but the only only way to know for sure is to put it in practice. Now if only someone had a b13 with a rear brake upgrade to look at....

To be specific.....

HP Books - 1541

"How To Build Performance Nissan Sport Compacts 1991-2006" by author Sara Forst.

Awesome book. Highly recommended.

That blows my mind.

I want new CSK's, a Nissan OEM brake upgrade....and then my VE.

Serious power infusion last. When my suspension and brakes are fully up the task.

Thanks for the compliments and acknowledgment guys.

Yes, The Suspension Thread was a lengthy process, measured in months and hundreds of hours. Newbs have no clue whatsover on the amount of effort it took to compile an 81-page (probably more now) manifesto on our suspensions. Which is half the size of Sarah Forst's entire book, but on one (1) subject only.

However, I look at how many times (67,000+) folks have clicked-on that thread (both the Dash and SR20Forum), and how many folks do appreciate that work, and it was (and is) all worthwhile. Successful beyond my wildest imagination.

Joekuh, you rock for taking on this daunting "Brake Thread" task. Creating a necessary resource that will be an invaluable educational tool for our community.

Now when I am ready to do my brakes, I have one (1) comprehensive thread to read.
