I've been reading more on the Pulstar Pulse Plugs... I'm very interested in them at this point

Check this website out, it shows some dynoed comparisons between plugs etc.

Final results HP/TQ numbers

Looking at the results it's begging to look like the DENSO Iridium ITL 16 plugs are a pretty good investment too.

They are just right under the the Pulstar in Peak HP, but are better with their Torque numbers.

Another plus is, they are $10 a plug instead of $25! Link

But from DENSO website it says our engines need these plugs, SK20PR-L11, which I dunno if they are as good as the ones that were used on the tests above.

More on spark plugs! This thread is now devoted to finding the best spark plugs out there

I was reading about the Pulstar Pulse Plugs and on one blog another Spark Plug maker posted about how it is now easy to survive in the spark plug world because of all of the competition.

Here is that person's spark plug: Super Sonic Spark Plug

Read the testimonials at the bottom of the page, sounds pretty promising. Esp with the much lower price!

Post from the creator of the Sonic Spark on the Pulstar article page.

From this page

I am David Wofsey the inventor of the Sonic Spark Plug US Patent No. 5,610,470. At present, I have no experiance with the Pulse Star Spark Plugs. However, the claims made are extravagent. Unfortuneately, the technology, Physics, and Chemistry are probably understood by very few people. A concentrated initial spark is only a partial solution to increased fuel economy. I have been dealing with the spark plug market for over 10 years. There is much variability in the performance increase that one can obtain to a change in the technology of spark plugs. Yes, the spark plug is the important component in combustion efficiency. The spark plug companies make attempts to improve their products. Examples: multiple grounds, Platinum, Iridium, and changes made by independent inventors. They all claim improvements. However, specific claims are difficult to verify. Sonic Spark, Llc takes the path that the automotive engineers have optimized the spark plug spaecifications for their vehicles which is programed into the computor settings. With this direction, Sonic Spark, generally selects the spark plug make and number to match the specific vehicle specifications. Sonic Spark's Utra Sound modification is the only change made to the general OEM specified spark plug.
I must advise any one, or company that wishes to enter the spark plug market. It is tough. The Automotive Companies, and spark Plug Companies own their market. I wish PulsStar Good Luck.
Respectfully; David Wofsey, Inventor, Chief Agent
Sonic Spark, Llc.

I've used Denso Iridiums in the past. Model was IK20 or something like that. "Lifetime Warranty" 25 per piece, that's 100 bucks.. the plugs lasted 4 months and 4000 kilometers, they were badly burnt.. and on a N/A, and I never got any refund.

More Anti-Pulstar: http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=595488

So I think Pulstars are def out of the question. I'm still fairly interested in the Sonic ones. They use Autolite and NGK plugs for their operation. I tried sending the guy an email but it bounced. So I might give him a call tomorrow

i think the best spark plug is definitly going to be application specific. i know that pretty much the best spark plug for turbo is the 7e's they are widely recomended, used by almost everyone who is turbo and if not the 7e's then the 6e's but most people dont really venture out into radical spark plugs. also they arent expendsive which makes them that much better, if something happens they are cheap to replace and thats a big factor.

Thats true too, but I kinda see it as say an intake stock is good, but you can get much better with a CAI....
