That would work but would be a flow restriction, so do keep that ind mind . Also depending on how big your pipe is, it will be hard to bolt anything to a beveled surface that round pipes tend to have .

It's practically the same size. Curious how you think it'll restrict? I'll have it complete tomorrow. Any specific distance from the throttle plate do you know of?

The threaded part will be sticking into the pipe and will be held by the nut on the inside correct? As for distance, that one doesn't seem to matter, I would give it 3-4 " or so.

No sir. I will stuff the threaded part thru from the inside. The threaded part will be the bung which the hose will slip over. I'm actually messing with her right now VIA flashlight, lol!!! I stopped to post an inquiry, which I just posted in the turbo section, regarding a censor directly below the TB. I'm about to hack up the coupler. I picked up some washers and o-rings on my ride home from work. I'll post pics in a bit.

Ok, so maybe it's a bit unorthodox but I think it'll be just fine. I wound up only using one o-ring and neither of the washers. Not only is the piece tight in the silicone but the one o-ring squeezed in and seat up great. It's air tight. Not much room for the IACV breather hose to slip on BUT there's just enough at the same time :-) I will install in a bit and report back. I hope my car idles cold for the first time in 5 years! Please pray to the Nissan boost gods for me ;-D

Ah that's much better then what I thought you were doing! Silicon intakes also sells a similar kit that should work fairly well.

Thanks for that link, I may investigate that product. Although I got the hose on with use of a hose clamp, I am not convinced it'll stay potentially popping off once it warms up under the hood. But yessir, she starts and idles without use of the throttle AT ALL!!! 5 long years!!!!!!!!!! Gotta tinker with the tune now because so far from what I've seen she is lean at start-up, 15.5-16+. But that's nothing at this point, SHE IDLES!!! :-)

Thank you for your help and patience man! :-)

Update: I reconfigured the silicone nipple bung Using a brass barb with male thread, 2 washers, and a special nut. These are all in the plumbing section at true value (hardware store) and NPT threads. I payed $5.49 and the barb gives me all the length I need to feel secure. Oddly, now it's making some racket at the TB and blowing hella smoke. Still haven't taken her for a rip though.

EDIT: drove to work today and all seems well! :-)

Better make sure you loctite that nut or you wont have an engine if it rattles loose. I think I like my JBWeld more then this, at least if jbweld breaks car just wont idle.
